Xaghra Vs Pembroke - Friendly and Day Out

Sunday 21st December was time for us Pembroke Football Women Team and Coaches to go and visit Our sister country Gozo, to play our planned Friendly match against Xaghara United.

As Agreed at 8am members of our team started presenting themselves at the Pembroke Athelta Club in Pembroke and by 8.30am all members that had confirmed that they will be coming with us were present. We Arrived at Cirkewwa by 9.10am so we had to wait for the ship that leaves Malta at 10am.

On the Boat a Sub Committee has been formed by the Coach and Noel.  This Sub Committee is formed by The Coach as Management Administrator, LeeAnne Wood as Website Administrator,  Brenda as Accounts, Dorianne As Secretary, Janelle , Noel  as website and accounts helper, Melanie as events coordinator , Dorita and Dione as Factotum  between the club and the team.

As soon as we arrived in Xaghara I must say that we had a very warm welcome from Xaghra`s coach and other staff members. We were then allocated to a dressing room in which our players could change for the match. Then at 11.30 the match started and it was a very well played match from both sided on a very friendly basis.

After the match we all had lunch both Pembroke and Xghara together and the afternoon was free to go and visit the beautiful island of gozo.
Concluding this report I must thank Xaghara Fc for their warm welcome and we will see you again very soon this time here in Malta.
